General information

The service "Access to REGON register data via the web service – API interfaces" (BIR1 - Internet Database REGON 1) is a web service that makes the data available from the REGON register to authorized government administration authorities and to local/regional authorities and to other government institutions (in accordance with Article 44 of the Act on public statistics) and to commercial entities. The programming interface of the service (API) allows you to search the resources of the REGON register by selected criteria as well as downloading and displaying results directly at the level of tele-information systems of recipients.

Searching the REGON registry resources is possible using the following criteria:

REGON identifier
NIP identifier
KRS identifier

Service and data are available free of charge.

The service was made available as part of the Public Statistical Information System 2 (SISP-2) project.

Registration

For commercial entities

In order to obtain the User Key to the production environment, please send a message containing the following information to the email address regon_bir@stat.gov.pl:

Full name of the entity
REGON number of the entity
Name and surname of the contact person
The email address of the contact person
Landline phone number
Mobile phone number
IP addresses from which your ICT systems will communicate (applies to situations when end users will connect to BIR1 through access server of the software provider - point 2.6.3 "Technical Manual" entitled "Recommended architecture"). In addition, if the address / pool of IP addresses is constant - we recommend providing these addresses for diagnostic purposes during possible problems with using the Service.
Information on the expected total number of queries per month (in case of problems with estimation - please specify at least the order of magnitude).

During the integration and further exploitation of the BIR1 service, we provide technical support.

For public administration entities

The service "Access to REGON register data via the web service" can be used after sending the application for its availability to the address regon_bir@stat.gov.pl.

The application should contain the following information:

Full name of the institution.
Address details of the institution.
REGON number of the institution.
Description of the manner of using
Name and surname of the contact person
The email address of the contact person
Landline phone number
Mobile phone number

The next stages of activities aimed at providing the service will be agreed individually, through direct contact.
